Its the start of a New Year and A Squared Technologies will once again be involved with a number of charities and sponsorship’s throughout 2021, here are the details.

Great Western Air Ambulance Charity – New for us this year we have signed up to the charity’s weekly lottery. Money raised goes to their Critical Care Team who provide life-saving treatment at the scene of an incident, when someone needs them most. They re-start people’s hearts when they go into cardiac arrest give blood transfusions to those who desperately need it and provide advanced care to people suffering from serious medical issues or trauma. Whats more, all this takes place before the patient has even reached hospital, saving vital minutes and giving them a better chance of survival.

All the net proceeds from the lottery go back to the charity and makes up 50% of the funds they raise each year. It takes over £3 million pounds every year just for them to keep flying and is a cause we at A Squared feel is very worthwhile of our support.

More details on the Great Weston Air Ambulance can be found by clicking here

We are also continuing our sponsorship of the Weston Super Mare Open Badminton Club. Our support of this excellent club goes back to the summer of 2019 (that time before Covid!) and you can read more details about the club and an interview with its founding member Paul Edwards by clicking this link

It’s very clear everyone in the club are very keen to pick up their rackets again and get playing plus they are always looking for new members to join them so give their Facebook page a look if its something you would like to get involved with! They are all a very friendly bunch and no matter what level of experience you have or level of fitness, there is a place for you!

Another organisation A Squared are sponsoring in 2021 is the Teddy Bear Children Support Ltd, which was founded in 2009. They are a Social Enterprise whose sole purpose is to help raise funds and spread awareness for the small Children’s charities that find it difficult to raise funds for themselves.  The charities they help have little ability, education, funds or recognition in order to raise funds for themselves so this is where they step in. Teddy Bear Children Support focuses on helping these Children’s charities. The Children’s charities that we help are mainly located in Underprivileged deprived areas and the children who need our help mainly come from Disadvantaged Families

We will be sponsoring Jamie Donnelly who will be looking to complete the challenge of climbing up the Dragons Back route to the summit of Waun Fach, which is the highest mountain in the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons – South Wales. This is an elevation of 811 metres and will take place on the 27th February 2021 in winter weather conditions. Jamie hopes to raise funds towards toys and facilities to help a small group of disabled children with their exercise, helping them develop their hand co-ordination and their communication skills so that they can become more independent.

Hopefully with the vaccine roll-out gathering pace, we hope to get involved in more charities and sponsorship’s both locally and nationally so watch this space!
