The Weston Lions Real Ale & Cider Festival

Each year the Weston Lions Real Ale & Cider Festival is held on the beach lawns in July. The festival  brings in over 5000 people and always promises a great visit with a variety of ales and ciders on offer as well as awesome music – and this year did not disappoint!

A Squared supports the festival over the 4 days by not only aiding in the set up but also sponsoring barrels and buying a table at the Race Night.

Charity Dinner & Race Night

On the Thursday before the festival opens to the public, the Lions host a Charity Dinner & Race Night, where local businesses, groups, clubs can all buy a table and invite their guests to enjoy a joyous night. The atmosphere is always superb at the race night, with everyone getting to indulge in a three course celebration buffet, being the first to taste test the range of beverages on offer, and of course getting involved with the betting and hollering at the chosen horses!

Ann & Buster helped out setting up tables ready for the guests.

This year, Kate had two tables, one for her friends and one for the team at A Squared. Arriving in smart/casual with pounds at the ready, the team got to relax and unwind with each other out of the work environment.

A Squared at The Festival

As the festival welcomed it’s first guests on the Friday, Victoria and Kate manned the Sponsors and drinks tokens table.
Ann was on raffle, persuading the punters to purchase raffle tickets – which wasn’t all that hard as the prizes were awesome!

A Squared’s presence could be felt around the marquee, not only from it’s team that volunteered, but also from the banners!

The festival was a huge success over the weekend with droves of customers keeping the bar busy and the dance floor packed! Saturday evening the tent was full with many turning up to see the The Lipinski Brothers head line. The atmosphere was electric and everyone left saying what a good time they had.

It was a grand festival to be a part of – volunteering, attending and supporting! A Squared and it’s team go to enjoy both sides of the bar, and all for a good cause. This years beneficiaries were SANDS, Pancreatic Cancer UK, Weston Hospicecare & GoKidsGo!
