My priority of the day before even getting to work, is seeing to my piggies – Maple and Syrup.

I make sure their play area is clean and they have fresh hay and water; all their tunnels and hidey holes are rearranged for them to play in then I put in their daily allowance of fresh veg which they absolutely love.  Before they go from their night cage to their day play pen, they have a cuddle on my lap or shoulder and a brush.

I am normally the first to arrive at the unit which is around 7am in the Winter and probably 6.30am in the Summer.  My first task of the day is to check or send emails whilst the place is quiet, and I can concentrate!

My sister Victoria is normally next in close behind and on occasions, we treat ourselves to a Costa.

One of the very important machines in the building and something that we cannot function without is our Nespresso Machine. The daily fix is a priority for both of us and if I can bribe my sister, she sometimes is kind enough to make me a soya latte.

Monday mornings are always manic – don’t ask me why they just work out that way.  We always have a production meeting with the senior team catching up on what needs to be done that week and if there are any issues that need to be addressed. It is a very productive meeting as the people who need to know and keep control of things are in one place and can all be addressed at once.

The rest of the day/week is dealing with orders raising the relevant paperwork for production builds, following up sales orders that come in from customers, quoting for new jobs or checking costings for existing work, ordering components, and dealing with any queries that may arise – to name but a few!

Meeting our customers face to face is a must and we have quite a few customers that are local so monthly catch-ups on their products are always scheduled in.
