At A Squared Technologies, we believe that being part of a community means showing up, giving back, and supporting the people and organisations that make a real difference. That’s why we were incredibly proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Mayor’s Charity Ball in Weston-super-Mare.
Held at the iconic Grand Pier, the evening brought together local businesses, community leaders, and residents for a night of celebration, generosity, and meaningful impact.
A Night to Remember
Hosted by Councillor Martin Williams, the Charity Ball was a fantastic evening filled with a three-course dinner, live entertainment, fundraising games, and a lively charity auction. The event perfectly captured the spirit of the town—bringing people together to support causes that truly matter.
We were honoured to play a role as a sponsor, helping make the evening possible and contributing to its success. Events like this highlight the power of collaboration between local organisations and businesses.
Supporting Incredible Local Charities
This year’s Mayor’s chosen charities were Seagulls in the Community and The Monkey Tree Charity—two organisations doing vital work to support people across the local area.
Seagulls in the Community is the charitable arm of Weston-super-Mare A.F.C., delivering programmes that use football and sport to engage people of all ages. Their work includes youth development sessions, education initiatives, mental health support, and inclusive activities designed to bring the community together and promote wellbeing.
The Monkey Tree Charity provides vital support to individuals and families facing hardship. Their work focuses on supplying essential items—such as mobility equipment, sensory resources, and everyday necessities—to improve quality of life and ensure people have access to the support they need when they need it most.
The evening was a huge success, with thousands of pounds raised and additional pledges made to support initiatives such as funding essential equipment like wheelchairs—demonstrating the generosity and compassion of everyone involved.
The Impact of Local Partnerships
Being part of the Mayor’s Charity Ball wasn’t just about sponsorship—it was about standing alongside other local businesses and individuals who care deeply about Weston-super-Mare and its future.
At A Squared Technologies, we’re passionate about supporting initiatives that create lasting, positive change. Whether through sponsorship, partnerships, or hands-on involvement, we’re committed to contributing to the communities we serve.
Looking Ahead
The Mayor’s Charity Ball was a reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared purpose. We’re incredibly grateful to have been part of such a special evening and look forward to continuing our support for local initiatives in the future.
A big thank you to the Mayor, the organisers, and everyone who attended and contributed—it truly was a night to remember.
